The Emerson’s Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG) is a state-mandated, district-wide volunteer organization. The group will offer advice, provide information on various topics, emerging trends and practices, and share resources to parents of children with special educational needs. SEPAG is meant to be a supportive, informative and an encouraging forum for parents. Meetings may include guest speakers, trainings and presentations. The goal is to enhance and continue to build family-school collaboration and partnership in special education, general education and the wider community.
SEPAG is intended to be a volunteer parent-facilitated group. Mrs. Jennifer Monahan is our SEPAG Parent Liason. The role of the SEPAG parent-liaison is to work collaboratively with the Director of Special Services and Child Study Team to facilitate parent involvement through meetings and events during the school year. If you would like to contact Mrs. Monahan please reach out to Mrs. Lisa Ercolano at 201-599-4186, ext. 1.
