Standards-Based Report Cards

In the 2016-2017 school year, Memorial and Villano schools will adopt a new standards-based report card for grades kindergarten through five.  The move to a standards-based report card has been discussed over the course of the past three years by a report-card committee composed of grade-level representatives from both schools.  Committee members reviewed report cards of local districts and contributed ideas to create a report card that accurately reflects our knowledge and skill goals for students at each grade level.

 

REPORT CARD COMPANION DOCUMENTS

The documents below serve as companions to Emerson's standards-based report cards.  They clarify and illustrate the standards upon which students are assessed throughout the year.  Teachers reference these expectations in designing instruction, creating and grading assessments, and filling out student report cards. Parents should reference these expectations when reading and interpreting student reports.
